Built for

For everyone who needs a test done, and the labs that can do it.

Startups & test engineers

Find problems before the compliance test.

Dry-run your certification tests at a lab near you before you pay agency prices. Not sure which tests apply? Start from a free compliance test plan for your product.

OEM & Tier-1 teams

Spare, spec-matched capacity when you need it.

Pre-compliance runs, overflow during peak demand and rare rigs, searchable by spec and standard. Each lab states its accreditation for your test in the Work Order.

Labs & institutions

Put idle rigs to work on your terms.

Receive scoped requests. You approve each one and invoice the client directly in your institute's name, so it can count as your consultancy revenue. No fee while we launch.

How it works

Five steps to a report that counts.

01

Tell us your product

What you're building and where it must sell: the Indian market, a tender, defence supply or export.

02

A free compliance test plan in 48 hours

Every test it needs, by build stage: who requires it, where it must happen for the report to count, and the likely cost.

03

Find and fix failures first

A pre-compliance check before the tests that fail most: an EMC pre-scan, a dry run, or a design review. Free 30-minute review call to decide which.

04

A lab whose report counts

Each lab is labelled by whether its report counts for your test. The lab answers within 48 hours.

05

Result and evidence

Reports you can get corrected in 3 working days. If a test fails anyway, we find the root cause and plan the re-test.

Inside your plan

Every stage of the build, from first prototype to production.

Tests are grouped by stage, so problems are found while they're still cheap to fix.

  1. Development

Engineering tests and pre-scans while the design still changes, when fixes are cheap.

  2. Qualification

The design proven against its specification: environmental, EMC and the buyer's levels (QT, DV).

  3. Certification

Compliance tests at a lab whose report counts, for the approval your market needs.

  4. Production

Checks on built units: acceptance tests and production validation.

You choose how much we carry

Start with the plan. Hand over as much as you like.

Free

Do it yourself

Your free compliance test plan, then book each test with a lab whose report counts. Coordination is free: answers chased, standard NDA and Work Order, reports tracked.

Quoted per test

We engineer it

The pre-compliance checks in your plan (EMC pre-scan, dry run or design review) and failure rescue when a test fails. Our engineers advise. You and the lab still sign.

Pre-compliance checks are part of your plan.

Case study

A student team's first professional wind-tunnel test

Aztech Motorsport, a STEM Racing (F1 in Schools) team, was connected through RIGS & Roads with the Aerodynamics Laboratory at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE), Dundigal: a low-speed subsonic wind tunnel with a 6-component force balance. The session showed where airflow separated over their car and gave them a concrete design change to make next.

Questions engineers ask us

What is a compliance test plan?

+

Every test your product needs to pass, by build stage. It covers verification and validation (V&V): verification asks “did we build it right?” It covers tests, inspections and analysis against the specification and the standards, including certification. Validation asks “did we build the right thing?” It covers field trials and customer acceptance. Your plan lists each activity by build stage, with who requires it, where it must happen and the likely cost. Engineers in automotive and defence know it as a DVP&R, and you can export it as one.

What does it cost?

+

The compliance test plan is free, and so is everything we do to get your tests done: finding labs whose reports count, chasing answers, the standard NDA and Work Order, and tracking reports. Labs set their own prices and invoice you directly. There's no platform fee during launch. You pay us only for engineering on a test (design review, pre-scan or failure rescue), at a fixed quote per test.

Is RIGS & Roads a lab or a certification body?

+

Neither. We work with your test engineers, plan your tests, run the pre-compliance checks (EMC pre-scans, dry runs and design reviews) and coordinate your compliance tests. The compliance tests themselves are run by accredited labs, and certificates are issued by the agency or body your market requires. Our checks are engineering guidance: only the accredited lab's report counts. That's why each test in your plan says where it must happen for the report to count.

Is my test plan safe?

+

Every request is protected by a standard mutual NDA by default. The lab sees only your dates and the equipment until it accepts the NDA. Then it can read your test plan. You can use your own NDA instead. On listings marked “Public info”, our team arranges the NDA with the lab for you.

Will the results count for certification?

+

Only if the lab is accredited for that specific test, and the Work Order says so. Many requests are development and pre-compliance runs before the compliance test. The lab states its accreditation for your test in the Work Order, before you confirm.
